EXTENSION CONSTRUCTION


	The site of the proposed extension is marked out.		The ground is excavated to a minimum of 600mm deep. Steel mesh is added and 150mm concrete poured in.
	The inner leaf is built to floor level, the outer leaf to ground level. All drainage pipes are then added and covered with pea gravel.		A minimum of 100mm thick hardcore is then added and compacted.
	A screed of sand is then added, again this is compacted level. This is to prevent the damp proof membrane from puncturing.		Damp proof membrane is added with optional 50mm insulation.Steel mesh is cut and set out ready for concrete.
	The concrete is poured and screeded, it is then polished smooth using a large float.		The outer skin is then built to floor level using facing brick, the inner skin is then continued using block.
	The outer skin is then built to the same level as the inner skin inserting king span insulation.		The inner and outer skins are then continued to finished height.
